What is wrong with the SQL2000 QA? I don't see this as a replacement for it.
Anyone beside a developer or DBA should never have dirrect access to the database and only the DBA to production.
I can see some sales guy saying:
Begin transaction
select * from tableA with (xLock)
... phone rings and he is now on a 2 hour conference call.
next thing you know your entire database has locked up. Worse he decides to fix some data through the datbase and accidentally truncates a table.

Forget the IM interface.... I want the Quest Software video game interface advert at the top of the forum screen for QA.
And its "ALL YOUR 'SA' ARE BELONG TO US!"
You might need to hit refresh to see the best aspects of the interface....

FOr Vista Beta users and eventually, the roll out of VIsta, how about a sidebar Gadget that in the properties, you set the server name and cred's, in the gadget, you type the string as you would in QA, and the results come back as a spawned HTML page. Better yet, the properties page lets you add servers and cred's, those then get stored in a SQL Express instance, and the gadget has a drop down made up of servers from the express db.
Thoughts?
