  I am attempting to install a SQL2K virtual instance on a cluster and I am receiving the following error "another virtual server of the same name existing on the network"

  I have undertaken this task on numerous occasions but have never seen this error. Can anybody please shed any light?

  I think we need some more info for this one.

  Have you tried pinging the DNS name to see if there is actually another virtual server with that name?
