Has anyone any experience of installing SQL 2005 and SSRS 2005 and Sharepoint on the same box and utilising the same SQL instance?
We have a few report users and believe that by implementing Sharepoint we can deliver a "better experience" for them via Sharepoint, rather than SSRS...based on what we have read so far.
However, we seem to be going round in loops in getting it all to work together...
for example: do we install SSRS first and then Sharepoint, or do we install SQL 2005, then Sharepoint, then SSRS....hmmm?
Suffice to say, we will very much appreciate any thoughts/pointers
Thanks for reading

I don't think the order matters
You just install the Report Viewer/Explorer Web Parts into SharePoint and connect to SSRS2005 correctly
so I would install
1. SQL 2005, and SSRS
2. SharePoint, and Web Parts
In SQL 2008 SSRS there is a SharePoint Integration Mode which is a bit confusing (it removes the need for Report Manager)
but you're in 2005, probably don't have to worry about that
Read up or Google on the subjects may return more useful stuff than my post 🙂

Hi Jerry
Thanks for your thoughts.....and yes we have been reading and searching:)
SQL 2005 SSRS also has a SharePoint Integration Mode ......you also need to download the reporting services add in...will only work on SQL2005(SP2)...
there is alot of info out there....some of it conflicting, hence the reason for my post.
I think most of the issues we are facing are IIS related....will be trying again this weekend.
