HI.
One of my production servers needs 241 updates. What is the best way to go about installing them versus recovery if anything goes wrong?

No for sure 100% method on this. Make sure you backup the databases and you backup the server. Test the backup on the databases to ensure they're correct. Then install the updates. With that many I'm pretty sure you're looking at multiple reboots. Plan the time accordingly.

You sure you need all those updates check those updates out of the 241 there might be latest updates of the same which are the once you need to install.
As Grant pointed out there can be multiple reboots involved so plan before you do and I hope its not production.
