I am trying to install SQL Server 2000 Standard edition on my computer. I run Win 2K server with IIS installed. When I try to install SQL Server it says that my OS doesn't support it. And I can only install client tools. How can i fix this to make a sql database on my computer I can play with? Any ideas? Thanks

Are you sure you are not trying to install SQL Personal edition? When you buy standard edition they usually include a personal edition CD with it.

Are you sure you are running Win2k "Server" and not just the Professional Edition.
I had the same problem -- to solve it I bought the Developer Version of SQL Server 2000 for $49 from Microsoft and I am not limited to running it on Win2k Server or WinNT Server.
