Hi,
Am having problem in installing SQL server DEV edition in windows 7.
I could go through the complete installation but after the installation i realise that the SSMS is not installed. I tried to install multiple times but no use.
can any one help me with this issue.
Thanks,
Rahul.

are you getting an error message? If so, please post it.

There's an option to install more than the 'Database Engine'. If I recall correctly, it's a checkbox for "Tools, Workstation and Documentation" (or something similar to this).

Correct, the option to install the tools has to be selected.

You could also try and run 'sqlcmd' from a DOS prompt. IIRC, that executable only gets installed with the tools option.

AFAIK, ssms.exe is the SSMS executable. Can you search for that?

Did you ever have an earlier version of SQL Server on this machine?
