Hi !
I am upgrading to MSSQL Server 2000 and some applications need the SQL client installed on all workstations. I would like to know if there is a way to rollout this installation to the client workstations wothout having to do it manually on each workstation.
I tried creating and MSI Package and it didn't seem to work. I also tried MDAC and it didn't work either.
Hope you can help me on this one!!!!!

I'm sure you can create an unattended installation file with the setup. BOL has instructions:
search: Performing an Unattended Installation

I use sqlredis.exe sometimes. It is downloadable (assuming you have all licensing you need) and also on the SQL Server CD. It is silent install. See "sqlredis Software Distribution Executable" on MSDN for parameters at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/distsql/distsql_0t45.asp
I wonder if you can push that. What software your company is using for pushing updates?
