  I'm trying to install SQL Express on a MacBook, running win xp sp2 under Parallels.

  keep getting a WMI eror, has anyone done this install.

  note: we have a win form app using sql express as database, would like apple users to be able to run it.

  Yes, and it works fine, so there's hope. You may have to upgrade your Parallels, however. And be sure that your XP install is good.
