installing SP's on sql server 2005.....

    After you install sql server...and its setting at RTM....do you have to install SP1 first...then 2,3 etc...or could I go straight to SP3 (I need to be at 9.0.4226)

    does it matter?

    You can start with the installation of SP3. Sometimes you do need to install the earlier ones first, so you should always check, but in the case, you don't.
