Could any one tell how to install RSS 2005 on two severs?
I would like to install the database engine on one server and RSS on its separate sever.
Is there any step by step instructions out there?
Thanks

don't think you can do that
RS needs the database engine because it creates two databases

Yes, you can do this.
I think there are instructions on Microsoft's website. You can just search on google and I am sure you will find some. The reality is that you don't need instructions. After you install the RS components on a server, you go into the configuration utility (Reporting Services Configuration Manager). Click the Database Setup section and follow the instructions. It's pretty intuitive.
Licensing - that's not so intuitive. You must licence BOTH servers. If you have a user running a report, you need to have two SQL licenses for that user - one for the RS server, and one for the SQL Server (and of course one for each SQL server the report gets data from). SQL component licenses cannot be split up. If you want to use an Enterprise feature of Reporting Services (such as data-driven subscriptions), the RS server needs the Enterprise License and the database engine server that the RS databases are on can be of a lesser edition.
