I'm installing SQL server 2005 developer edition on my home PC:
OS - Vista Home Premium
I have installed IIS7 see below, however when I run the install program it says that IIS is not installed. Can any help me in trying to identfy why SQL Server 2005 cannot detect IIS.

Actually you have the wrong Vista because its IIS7 comes without Windows Authentication so you cannot install reporting services in it. It is covered in the links below in details. You need Vista Ultimate to install reporting services. Hope this helps.

Just when you think it is impossible, Microsoft comes up with a new way to make the licensing more complicated.
