Installing Reporting Services in a Non-Default Website

  • I installed RS on an IIS server.  Both are hosted on a W2K box.  RS created 2 virtual directories on the default site.  I followed instruction found at http://www.awprofessional.com/articles/article.asp?p=357694&seqNum=3 to run RS on another site co-hosted on same server.  It seems to work OK except that when I open http://127.0.0.1/Reports it shows home page missing these things: Search box; everything from Contents and Properties tabs down to the bottom.  I browse the default site and it looks fine.  I don't know what went wrong here.  Pls help.  Thanks.

  • You just need to remove the anonymous access in 2 virtual Directories reporting services

  • Deni,

If Anonymous access removed, RS uses Intergrated Windows Authentication. We have an AD. A user, usually a manager or above, who read the report must provide the ID and password and RS will show him the screen as in my question. To make it shows everything I must grant more permissions to the user. I really don't want this so I still research for more solution. I am in the middle of this page http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnsql2k/html/ufairs.asp

Don't know if it helps but will give it a try.

    Thanks,
