I'm trying to get a step-by-step approach to installing Oracle 11g Client in a sql server 2008r2 Active/Passive Clustered Environment. I have found some articles stating that you have to intall both the Oracle 11g 32 and 64 bit.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

You do not need 32-bit client, unless some 32-bit apps are running on your server and trying to connect Oracle databases.
Oracle Client should be installed on all the nodes of your SQL cluster.

If you're only running 64-bit SQL Server (or other 64-bit software) on the servers all you need is the 64-bit Oracle Client.
If you're using Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) or other 32-bit software on the server you also need the 32-bit Oracle Client.
