Installing only SSMS (No Server Installation required)

  Team,

  I want to install the latest version on SSMS on a computer that needs to connect to other SQL Server installations on the network.

  I don't want to install any Server components as it is not necessary on the client computer.

  But, so far, in all my installations, I have installed Servers only (default or named instances). I am not sure how to install only the client component (SSMS).

  Help needed..

  Run the setup and select just the client tools.

  I don't see how you can get confused with this. Am I missing something?
