Installing my first multi-instance x64 2005 on Windows 2003 virtual cluster

    I cannot seem to install Management Studio on any server in the cluster.

    I cannot connect remotely with management studio to my instances from other 32 bit servers.

    I'm an old DBA but new to the 64 bit/cluster/Virtual server world. Am I wrong to assume that I have the right versions of the desktop tools in my install CD? I have successfully installed multiple instances on the cluster, and they fail over as they should, but the connectivity to this cluster is not happening from any of my other 32 bit SQL2K5 servers. TCPIP and Named pipes are enabled.

    How are you connecting?

    Shouldnt be an issue with clients. I use 32 and 64-bit client and 2008 32-bit without issue. Also check the browser service is running (it isnt clustered).
