I have SQL 2005 SP2 installed as a named instance.
I have a need to install a default instance.
The install does not allow me to install a new instance.
Do I need to use a command line install?

The install does not allow me to install a new instance.
could you expand on this a little more please. What error do you get. Re running the installer will allow you to add a new instance.
Thought:
are you launching this via Add\Remove programs by any chance?? If you are you need to select install a new component option and point to the location of the CD\DVD image!

Thanks for your quick reply!
I am installing from SQL2005 setup.
When it checks the system it warns me that in order to upgrade my existing SQL2005 I must use SKUUPGRADE from the command line.
It does not let me get to the point of installing a new instance.
I currently have a named instance installed.
I have a need for a default instance to be installed.
