Installing a 2nd Instance of MSDE

    Dear all,

    I am trying to install a named instance of MSDE 2000 on a Win XP machine which already has MSDE installed (not a named instance).  However, at some point my installation rolls back.  I have used different SqlRun packages but the result was the same.  Unfortunately I cannot interpret the installation log file.  If anyone has any idea of what the problem could be please let me know.  Is there a way to post the log file somewhere or should I mail it to anyone interested in helping out?

    The install should write something in the log file about where it failed. Look at the bottom and work your way back to an error (get past the cleanup/rollback). The multiple instances should work fine.
