Hi everyone,
I installed Internet Explorer 8 on my XP Pro SP3 desktop.
Now, when I try to open 2008 R2 Management Studio ... I get:
"An unhandled exception has occurred in a component...Could not load file or assembly 'Accessibility Version 2.0' or one of its dependencies.... cannot find the file."
My Management Studio version is 2008 R2 SP1
I read elsewhere that someone suggested installing SP2.
(It also broke my 2005 Management Studio, which is SP3)
Any advice?
Thanks, John

The only thing that comes to mind is to make sure you have all of the .NET updates installed.

Thanks, SQLKnowItAll,
Actually, XP wants to install this Security Update for .Net 2.0 SP2
KB2686828 but it fails during the update.
I'm thinking this may be causing Mgmt Studio to not work.
What can I do?

Hmm... Not really sure. That sounds like an MS issue.

Thanks for your suggestions, Jared.
I solved it. We use Kaspersky Anti-virus software.
I uninstalled Kaspersky on my desktop. Then the Security Update for .Net 2.0 SP2 installed successfully. And my SQL Server Management Studio works again.
I wanted to give everyone an update.
