Hi all,
My System configuration is as follows
c: 20gb NTFS
D: 55gb NTFS
OS windows 2003 Enterprise Edition installed in D:
OS xp professional installed in C:
SQL Server 2000 Server Edition ver 8.00.194 installed in D: with path as D:\SQL Server 2000\. Some components took path D:\program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\
for my testing server I have to install SQL Server 2005 in D:, where SQL Server 2000 is already installed. I could not able to install SQL Server 2005 onto the system.
While in Installation process of SQL Server 2005, I could not able to select my desired path for workstation & components(last column in selecting components), by default it use to take d:\program files\Microsoft SqL server\. Here SQL server 2000 already has & could not allow to rewrite / recreate. Finally SQL Server 2005 could not able to install.
Could u please suggest me to solve this problem.
Thanks in advance
Karna

How did you install your SQL Server?
Remote install? If so, you may not be able to change paths.
Mapping drive? If so, you can change paths.
Others? No clue at this moment.
