Installation of Sql Server 2005

    i had a problem when i am installing Sql server 2005 , it gives IIS warning message please give me suggestions to overcome this

    On which OS are you installing SQL Server 2005? If it is Vista or Windows Server 2008 you may find this KB article useful.

    Could you perhaps be a little more specific as to what warning you got and when you got it?

    IIS is only a pre-req for reporting services. If you are not installing that ignore the warning, if you are, stop the setup and install IIS.

    As Gail and George mentioned, pls try to be more specific. The quality of the replies depend on the quality of information that you post.

    IIS is required only if you are installing SSRS for SQL 2005. On what machine are you doing this install. Try to install IIS before re-running the installation. If you have any issues when you install IIS, pls contact your windows admin. If its your local desktop or laptop, you can install IIS from the control panel and the OS CD.
