Install SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack

    I would like to install the most SQL Server 2008 R2 service pack. Does anyone know what the most current cumulative service pack is?

    Does anyone know if you can use sql server 2008 sp2 on a R2 installation? I just found the sql server 2008 sp2 is out.

    SQL 2008 and SQL 2008 R2 are different versions and so you cannot install a service pack or cumulative update from SQL 2008 onto SQL 2008 R2 and vice versa.

    Cumulative Update 4 is the most recent for SQL 2008 R2.
