We will be moving our SQL 2008 STD edition to another server and the Admin has asked if we would like Win 2012 or Win 2008 R2.
The Admin wants to use ReFS but if I have read some articles correctly it is not a good idea to install SQL Server on ReFS but to continue using NTFS?
Has anybody installed SQL 2008 on Win 2012 and would like to offer any feed back?
thanks

SQL Server should be installed on NTFS for the time being.

Thank you for the reply. So as long as the file system on Win 2012 is NTFS (I am assuming Win 2012 has the option to install as NTFS) then SQL 2008 should install and function as normal?
thanks
