Install SQL 2008 64bit

    New with SQL 2008, Hyper-V and 64bit environments.

    I have bee given a server with Server 2008 and Hyper-V installed. The virtual Machine is Server 2008 64bit. I have tried to install SQL 2008 both standard and Express and am getting nowhere.

    The standard one installs but I cannot access it using the management studio. There are no services running either. SQL 2005 had services. Does 2008 have them?

    Any tricks about 64 bit environment?

    The following are the default service on SQL Server 2008

    SQL Server

    SQL Server Agent

    SQL Server Browser

    Is the login you used to install have the "Local Administrator" privileges on the the host?

    Check on the setup error place on "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log"
