Hello,
I'm having problems installing Reporting Services on Windows 7 Home Edition. The pre-requisites is throwing a warning that IIS is not installed or enabled (although it is).
Does anyone know if Home Edition is perhaps the issue, and whether an upgrade to Professional or Ultimate will resolve this? or if there's another work around.
Many thanks
sk.

what version of reporting services are you trying to install on windows 7?
Is it SSRS 2005 or SSRS 2008?
becoz 2005 version depends on the IIS and you can not install the report server on a home edition of the OS.
But, later Microsft removed the dependecy on the IIS in SSRS 2008. so if your are trying to install 2008 then , you shd not see any problems on home editions of OS.

It is 2005, however I have IIS with all the v6 compatibility features installed and running. Exactly the same setup orks fine on vista hence my suspicions about win 7 home.

Did you install the SSRS 2005 on Vista home edition? I tried in lot ways to do that couple of years back. Almost tried to throw my computer outside.
As far as i know. the home editions wont support for the 2005 reporting services.

Sorry, should have said, it's Vista Business. 7 Home Edition is letting me down in other areas too, I feel an upgrade coming on.
Many thanks.
