After an installation of a first instance of SQL2005 EE x64 (with sp1), SQLBrowser was only running at one node of the cluster
It was running using the windows-domain-account I specified.
The instance was accessable without any problem.
When installing the second instance (residing at the other node), the first instance became unreachable at the moment sqlbrowser was started at the other node !
The sqlbrowser on the other node has been installed to run with another windows domain account than the first one.
After altering both sqlbrowser instances to be using Localystem, everything worked fine again.
So it's best to not to mention a service account for SQLBrowser in a clustered environment ? !
