inserting unknown row to dimesion table

    good day guys,am using tsql to load a dimension and a fact table, i want to know how i can insert an unknown row into the first row of the dimension table and fact table . thanks any help is appreciated, if you do know how to explain it in ssis too that would be great. thanks

    You are close to your problem, unfortunately we are not. Could you give us the pertinent table definition(s), some sample data and your desired results in a readily consumable format.

    To do the above please click on the first link in my signature block. The article contains T-SQL code to do this reasonably quickly and easily.

    And what do you mean by

    the first row of the dimension table and fact table

    ?

    If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.
