Hello,
I apologise if off topic, I do not have SQL Server 2008, but my question is where would it be best to ask for general SQL help and guidance?
Thanks for any replies.

Hi,
You can post your doubts in 'SQL SERVER-2008 General forum'
before posting there are tags to the left here when you post. They're listed as IFCode or IF Shortcuts. Highlight your code and click the "code" tag.

Which version of SQL Server do you have?
This Forum ios for SQL Server 2008, but there is a SQL Server 2000 & 7.0 General Forum, a SQL Server 2005 General Forum, as well as a SQL Server 2012 General Forum.

You can ask general help questions here. If they're not specific to a particular version of SQL Server, this forum is as good as any other.
