  I am new to this Datafile topic. Can anybody pls solve my questions.

  1)Basics of a Datafile?

  2) What is a Datafile? What is its definition ? Where is it located ? what is its Min and Max size?

  3)How to use a Datafile in SQL Server?

  4)How to split a Datafile and what is the useful for splitting a Datafile?

  Provide me notes on the above topics or atleast give me the links to know abt Datafiles

  Your best friend is Books Online, its really a wide topic to discuss this on forums. If you read through and if you have specific questions then we would be able to help you out.
