Index tuning wizard .... asking for permission?

    I Want to use the index tuning wizard, but he 1st main screen scares me as it asks if I want to retain existing index's.   I was hoping this wizard would do analysis then ask me what changes I want to apply ... but it isn't looking like that.   Can anyone tell me how I can control what changes the wizard applies?

    I dared to move on giving the interface an SQL file with a Select statment in it (Complex with CASES and Joins) and table names (Tables referenced in the SQl file.   One references table is actually a view but I could not see it and when I tried to select one of the base tables named slightly differently the index tuning wizard told me it was not allowed.  How do I get the view into the mix or the underlying table in the view named slightly differently?
