Index condition in sql server 2000 to 2008 migration process

    I am migrating from sql server 2000 to sql server 2008

    Fragmentation indexes in sql 2000 was normal.

    When I beckup database and restore it on sql 2008, many indexes become fragmented.

    Rebuilding is needed but demand time. I have 7x24 system

    I guess rebuid them online.

    Can I update statistics online?

    But i think attach/ detach is better solution
