Jeff, do you have a reference to that, bit of a blow if it is true. This is for a create index, not a rebuild.
cheers

Crud... I knew I should have written down the reference and I apologize for opening my mouth without such a reference handy. To be sure, there's nothing in BOL that states what I said and now I'm doubting what I said.
The onus is on me to find that reference.

I looked around and couldn't find anything either Jeff. Perhaps if it does exist it is buried in the list of Edition features?

well edition features appear to be misleading at least about indexed views so cannot be taken as gospel (unfortunately).
I will see what my testing shows.
I do appreciate the interest and help offered.

I can't find the reference anywhere and until I find it, I'm wrong. Maybe full fledged CRS has taken a grip and I was thinking of something else. At this point, all I can do is apologize for bringing up a point with no proof and all I can blame it on is coffee depravation.
I'll try not to do such a thing again... this was pretty embarassing and I'll have to turn in my man card if I make this type of mistake again.

Or my tweet yesterday where I said you needed base-table permissions to update through a view! sheesh... :ermm:

Heh... thanks for the understanding. I just hate making this type of mistake because I'm usually the first one to ask "Really??? You got proof of that???"
I've bookmarked this particular thread. If I either come up with the proof or what the heck I was actually thinking, I'll post it back here.
