Increased Memory but onlny see less on AWE

    what is the reason I see less memory on AWE. even though I have increased.

    What exactly do you mean? What is your setup and what is the total RAM?

    1) If we allocated 28 GB memory to SQL Server, we should have 4 GB for OS and other applications. I only can see 1.7 GB, see below. I can not find the 2.7 GB.

    •500 MB for OS

    •1 GB for other applications

    •163 MB Fee Memory

    2) Right now AWE Allocated memory is 24 GB. If I discount 2 GB, I can not see the other 2 GB.

    select sum(awe_allocated_kb) / 1024 as [AWE allocated, Mb] from sys.dm_os_memory_clerks

    24175 (MB)
