In Synchronous mode mirroring, what happens if a transaction fails to commit on Mirror?

    In Mirroring, in synchronous mode, what happens if a transaction fails to commit on Mirror?

    Does the both Principal and Mirror will get shutdown?

    What happens exactly after a transaction fails to commit on Mirror?

    in synchronous mode if the transaction does not commit on the mirror it is not committed on the principal. This is the idea of synchronous mode, the principal waits until the mirror confirms the tran committed before hardening the tran on the principal!
