Seems to work well on both a direct click and opening in a new tab with a right click. How was the image placed on the page? Copy'n'paste or "drag"?

You might want to try just a copy'n'paste and see if you get the same good results. In the recent past, doing such a thing would certain paste to the post but it would be impossible to expand it by clicking on it. You'd just get a black screen where the image was supposed to be.

I suspect copy/paste doesn't always upload, based on browser and security settings. I've had issues. There is some bit xfer, but it's not complete.
