lol. I read half the editorial then went to the 'join the debate...' link to see the uproar about using bigtable and nosql... before reading the rest of the text and realising it was April Fool's joke. Good game!

I was believing it until I got to the word "NoSQL" and remembered the scepticism on this technology!
Nice one.

Itโs quite clearly an April fool.
I know this because itโs Friday and Steve doesnโt have his Hawaiian shirt and big grin on

Nice one - nearly had me going for a while. I was expecting some lively comments which could have been quite fun.

Kind of defeats the point of an April fool if you tell us right in the article that it's a joke, although this was pretty blatant anyway. Mind you, SSC's habit of having *every* article being a joke on 1st April makes it pretty obvious... ๐

Funny, you had me going there. I even remembered this morning it was April 1.

I would have loved the irony of a site dedicated to SQl Server running on a NoSQL! ๐
Happy April Fools Day and thanks for the laugh, Steve.

LOL. Wow - I've already seen at least three April Fool's day jokes today - on TV, online, etc. And this still got me. I was trying to wrap my brain around today's editorial, and I fell for it. I couldn't believe it, even as I was believing it. If you know what I mean...

hehe reminds me of that previous April fools day when they said that Red Gate was taking over SQLServerCentral.com...

Yet another April fools joke that destroys itself by saying "I'm a joke!"
What is wrong with leaving a joke to it's own devices?

You got me years ago with an "announcement" of a Linux release of SQL Server. Since then I've been savvy to SSC's April 1 content. Nice try guys, maybe next year ๐
The Latin content at the end of the 2nd article was pretty funny.
