Import Problem using SQL Server 2000 DTS

    I am trying to import data from a .csv file into a SQL table as part of a DTS package.  One column of data is being imported with about 1/3 of its records showing NULL.  I have verified that there is data for these records by opening the source file in MS Excel.  I am running SQL Server 2000 Enterprise with SP3 installed on Windows 2000 Server SP3.  Has anyone seen an issue similar to this?

    Correction to my earlier post. The file type is .xls rather than csv.  I made the file type a .csv and the import worked.

    I have experienced the same problem and have also solved it by creating a .csv.
