  Gentlemen,

  I'm trying to import an Excel into an SQL Server 2008 but I cannot see under the data source

  dropdown an Excel format.

  This is my short selections without Excel:

  

  From an online tutorial its showing more options including Excel.

  

  How can I modify my dropdown to include the missing data sources.

  Thank you in advance for your help.

  Try the 32-bit version of the Import Export Data Wizard.

  Yes that's right. You may run dtswizard.exe from program files(x86) SQL Server installation folder.
