I want to dynamically set the path of the image. Is there a way to do it. The image is not in the db, there is no URL, and not a part of the report.

Yes, you can dynamically set the path, but it still needs to be referenced (i.e. client side) to render.
Where is the image, in relation to the report?

This was an old post/reply of yours but, it was not clear to me how you reference the image dynamically in SSRS.
I have a query that pulls a field containing an URL for a .jpg image. Multiple rows return each with their own url. Can SSRS 2008 handle this and get the images to display in the report header and the report body, or footer for that matter? (Each section has it's own query and result set.)
Thanks,
