well, you install it.
SQL Server installs at least 3 tools to let you work with the database.
First, the stand-by command-line tool, osql.
Next, the graphical equivalent (but it's WAYYYY better than SQL*PlusW for Oracle): isqlww
Finally, you can do limited querying stuff in the Enterprise Manager, in addition to all the other rich admin stuff, including visually designing DTS packages.
Or, you can link to the DB with Access, get data (and open MS Query from) into Excel, etc.
