identity column property removal

    How do we remove an identity, from a sql table column which already has identity and data , without loosing the data and without having the need to copy data to new table

    You should be able to just unclick the identity property in Enterprise manager and click save.

    I Would generally unload to a temp table drop table, create altered table and reload data.

    Using EM will in fact create a temp table and copy the data.
