I want to configure a monitoring server which will connect to many different servers and will execute few monitoring jobs locally targeting those servers.
Can you please suggest a configuration which is not very costly and good in performance too.
The highest version i need to connect to is sql 2008 R2 enterprise 64 bit, so do i need the same for monitoring server or sql 2008 standard edition 64 bit\32 bit should be enough?
