I can't see "cache hit ratio" counter

  • In perfmon I can't see anymore any SQL Server - related counter, not only the above-mentioned one. What is going on?????

  • Is the SQL Service on that machine running?

  • Try to reload the counters:

    lodctr \\servername "c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Binn\sqlctr.ini"

    Also, make sure you have SP4 applied, it has this fix:

    Had to ask. You'll be amazed how often the simplest possible explanation to a problem is the correct one. Occam's Razor.
