I Can't Access My Database

    Following is the message. How do I fix it? It may be related to detaching and re-attaching the mentioned database but I hesitate to delete my user login as I am unsure of the result therefrom. HELP PLEASE! Thanks

    Executing the query "EXEC FI.up_Run_DailyLoad_Aggregates ?" failed with the following error: "The server principal "S3\Janie.Carlisle" is not able to access the database "CFS_Reporting" under the current security context.". Possible failure reasons: Problems with the query, "ResultSet" property not set correctly, parameters not set correctly, or connection not established correctly.

  • In the security tab, find your login and look at user mapping. Make sure you have rights for the database you are trying to get to.

    Since it is a nt login and and not a sql login, detaching or moving from server to server should not require anythnig except making sure the login exists on the server.
