My backup log files are filled with this entry....
Login '' is not the DBO of database 'xxxx' so cannot run SQLMAINT.EXE.
-I have made myself the DBO of the databases in question.
-I created the maintenance plans under the same ID that is the DBO.
-All of the related jobs are owned by the same ID that is the DBO.
I still get this error message. What am I missing?

sqlmaint.exe is run by the login running the services of SQLSERVERAGENT. Check the Windows Services and see who is running it.

The login running the service is the same ID that is the dbo, owns the jobs, and is the sysadmin of the system. Anything else I could check?

Actually look at the Agent properties itself in EM. On the last tab there is a connection item. By default it is Windows Auth make sure is still that way.

I checked the agent properties and it is the same profile (mine) that is set to start up the service. This is the same ID that owns the jobs, is the sysadmin and dbo in the sql server. Now, I did notice that the actual SQL Server is set to start up under a different ID (one of our system IDs). Could this be the culprit?
