  • I don't want to be more rude than normal, but how about Books On Line?  You're looking for Management Studio / Visual Studio which should be in your program files. Enterprise Manager is not used in 2005.

  • Or look at properties for the icon on your desktop if you got it installed, which for me yields:

    "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Tools\Binn\VSShell\Common7\IDE\SqlWb.exe"

SQLWB.exe is the SQL Server Management Studio.

  • As previous posts have said, you need SQL Server Management Studio.

If your box does not have access to the internet, then you may find SSMS is a tad slow in starting (like 47 sec...).  Go in to Internet Options, Advanced tab, and clear 'Check for Publisher certificate revocation'.  This will speed up SSMS starts by 45 sec.

  • Try looking for Management Studio here: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\BINN\SQL Server Enterprise Manager.MSC.
