    Huge data growth at the publication end whereas the subscriber remains unaffected and this happened overnight. Any ideas???

    The first thing that comes to mind is that the transactions are stored in the distribution database until they have been applied to all the subscribers. If connectivity is lost between the publisher and the distributer this could cause excessive growth in the transaction log.
