I have a Pentium 500 MHZ with 196 MB of RAM, and used Windows 2000 Professional.
I have also an HP CDR-Writer 9300, that used to work nicely.
But I had to change my Windows to W2000 Server -- but HP, that's incredible!, informs me that ...they DO NOT have a driver to make this CDR-W run with W2000 Server!!!...
WHAT can I do? Is there any other driver that can make the CDR-Writer work -- specially if it can do the data CD's run in ANY computer?
TIA. Dalton

I've used their software, not sure if this model, and it wasn't always stable. Most of the time, but occassionaly it flipped. I'm guessing they don't want to spend the time to make it server stable.
I'd use another desktop for burning CDs.

Not sure but you might want to see if Philips makes a comparable drive and try that driver. Cannot guarantee it will work nor have I tried but Philips makes the physical hardware for HP in regards to CDRWs. Also on top of that I don't know if there is a CDRW driver for Win2K Server.

Dear people
Didn't find anything feasible at Philips - but I downloaded the "CopyToCD" from the Company of the same name, and it's running well!
Thanks for your kind postings!

Glad you found a solution I was concerned you would not be able to.
