howto stop a running DTS package

    Probably an easy question: how to stop a running DTS package (BTW.: cancel button often doesn't cut the mustard )

    I assume you are refferring to a manual run inside the package design view or the package storage area. I have seen where Cancel is an issue here myself and seems to be a threading issue with the runtime environment. But if you need to stop in just end task EM and it will blow it out of memory. Note however that rollbacks will occurr if any data was moved and I cannot remember if all transactions are handled via rollback or if there is a setting (no EM to lookup here at home).

    Indeed, that's what I meant (running from design view/EM) Is there no run-time to kill (dtsrun or something ?)
