how to write a function that executes Sub- Store procedure

  • In addition, the code you are posting may not work as written.

  • Ok, thanks Lynn..

  • I'm pretty sure I can't actually help on this because I don't know well enough what the two procs do, but this is all RBAR... is there no way for you to incorporate everything you want to do in a set based fashion instead of calling a stored procedure once for every ID? I really believe this is going to be painfully slow performance wise if you continue on this general track of calling a proc once for each ID.

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.
