How to use 4GB of RAM in OLAP?

  • I am trying to install my first OLAP server.  The server is an HP ML570 4 CPUs and 4GB of RAM.  The O/S is Windows 2003 Enterprise edtion.  SQL 2000 Ent is installed also.  OLAP is needed for OutlookSoft, a management s/w.  Per installation instructions I set the Memory Conservation Threshold = the amount of RAM on the server = 4GB.  However the max I can set is 3072.  What do I need to make it takes 4096?  Thanks.

  • You will be limited by the flavor of Windows OS. Have a read of this article for more info:
